Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, “No Time to Die” is the 25th installment of the famous ‘James Bond’ series. Recently, the movie came to light when they announced that the production has been losing more than $1 million because the release date is being postponed again and again. Initially, the movie was set to release in November 2020 but the production had to reschedule the date. The total cost of the movie went up to $250 million which is why it is considered one of the most expensive movies. The date was rescheduled as they feared that it would not earn as much as they expected and they would be suffering losses. Due to the pandemic, many theatres have been shut down and even if some of them are working, people are not going to the theatres in the fear of contracting the virus.
The production is currently considering to sell the movie to OTT platforms as they might make some profit from it. Platforms such as Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and more are approaching them for a deal but MGM Studios who are dealing with the production have confirmed that they won’t be selling it to the platforms. They stated that ”We do not comment on rumors. The film is not for sale. The film’s release has been postponed until April 2021 in order to preserve the theatrical experience for moviegoers”. Even after the statement, many believe that they are just looking for a better deal and want to charge these platforms more for the rights of the movie. Some sources have said that they want to charge around $600 million which the platforms are not ready to pay.
Y'all my dad is so pissed off that apparently they moved "No Time To Die's" release to November when we were literally a month away.

What is the plot of “No Time to Die”?
The movie stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, and Ralph Fiennes. Its plot revolves around the life of James Bond after his retirement. One of his friends from the CIA contacts him for help as a scientist gets kidnapped. The villain who kidnapped him wanted to get a dangerous technology in his hand that could kill millions of humans. Hence, the kidnapper is a threat to mankind.
Bond needs to find him and fight him thereby stopping the kidnapper from achieving his plan. ‘James Bond’ film series has released numerous movies but this will be the fifth and the last featuring Daniel Craig. Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are handling the screenplay of the movie with Universal Pictures taking care of the distribution. Warner Bros. suffered a huge loss with Christopher Nolan’s “TENET” having a theatrical release which is why they are not taking the risk.
When is the 25th installment of the movie going to release?
The production of the movie began in 2016 and they began filming in 2018. Originally scheduled to release in April 2020, the new date announced is 2nd April 2021. They are expecting things to settle down by then or we could see the movie hitting the OTTs soon. The movie will pick itself up from the last part. The franchise has a loyal fanbase and ‘James Bond’ movies usually do well commercially. On 3rd September 2020, the official trailer of the movie was released on YouTube.
Lashana Lynch has been in news nowadays as she has been receiving a lot of hate online. Lynch is playing the role of 007 agent in the movie and fans are upset with this decision. The abuse went on to such an extent that she had to delete her social media accounts. We hope that the movie can continue to maintain its standards and it meets the audience’s expectations.
