Season 4 Plot, Trailer, And Cast
Season 4 will probably be the most interesting one as it will introduce us to Princess Diana and her storyline. Earlier, in the previous season, we saw Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) making decisions for her family and monarchy. Moreover, she is seen safeguarding the succession line. And, now she is looking for an appropriate bride for Prince Charles who is now 30.
On the other hand, tension slowly arises between the Queen and Britain’s first female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson). Thatcher has laid down some policies which are now creating havoc in the nation. Clearly, these policies are producing problems for the Queen as she has to juggle between her professional and personal life.
Season 4 will primarily focus on Prince Diana’s character and her marriage with Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor). The new trailer has introduced us to The Crown’s Princess Diana (Emma Corrin). However, it’s quite surprising how much Corrin is looking like the late Princess Diana.
The fourth season will also star Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as The Duke of Edinburgh, and Erin Doherty as Princess Anne. Gillian Anderson who plays the Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher will also be back to the show.
