Unfortunately, the release date of the James Bond Franchise ‘No Time To Die’ is pushed back again. MGM, Universal, and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced the news. No Time To Die will mark the 25th film in the long-running James Bond series. But, sadly, the project is getting affected due to the ongoing pandemic.
The movie has been a victim of the virus from the beginning of the year. And, the release date has been changed a couple of times as well. Initially, it was supposed to hit the theatres in April 2020. Although due to the pandemic, it will now premiere exactly a year later than the original release date.
No Time To Die is a spy thriller action movie produced by Eon Productions. The development of the movie began back in 2016. Moreover, it will be the first time that a Bond film will be distributed by Universal Pictures. Universal obtained the original rights from Sony Pictures after Spectre was released in 2015.
New Release Date and Reason Behind The Delay, Again!!
The release date for the movie has now shifted from November to April. And, now No Time To Die will hit the big screens on 2nd April 2021. The official website for the film delivered a message to the visitors. It said that the film has been further delayed so it can be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience. They also addressed how the news can be disappointing to some, but, they look forward to people experiencing the movie next year.
Although the decision might upset a lot of fans, it is still rational and makes sense according to the film’s point of view. The cinemas and theatres in the US and the UK are still closed. And, even they have resumed the services, a very little population is visiting them currently.
Apart from that the UK and the European markets are very crucial for the Bond films. The majority of the earning is obtained from these areas. But, sadly, the coronavirus is emerging once again in the UK which will eventually cause restrictions and shut down of public places including Cinema houses.
The previous Bond film, Spectre earned a whopping $900 million (£690m) nationwide. It also earned an Oscar for the best original song. Sadly, No Time To Die will not participate in the 2021 Oscars due to certain guidelines.
Cast, Trailer & The New Song
No Time To Die is filled with brilliant actors. The cast includes Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffery Wright, Ana De Armas, and of course, Daniel Craig. This will be Craig’s fifth and final journey as the dazzling James Bond.
The trailer was released a month ago and it looked nothing but awesome. With Rami Malek being the bad guy and Ana De Armas fighting in a lavish gown alongside Daniel Craig, it looked like a perfect Bond movie.
Recently, pop singer, Billie Eilish also released the original song for No Time To Die. You can check out the video down below:
