Lightbox Productions have announced a documentary on Princess Diana to celebrate her 25th Death Anniversary mark titled ‘Diana: The Truth Behind the Interview’. Altitude Films will be dealing with the distribution activities of the film. Oscar nominee Ed Perkins is managing the videos and it will be a compilation of all the interviews, reports along with some unseen footage. Perkins stated that many have enacted the story before but they want to portray it to the modern audience in a completely different way. He wants to narrate the story so that you can feel like it is running in the present. Altitude will be dealing with the distribution in the UK and Ireland whereas HBO will be streaming the television premiere.

What is the documentary going to be about?
From everything that Diana went through being a part of the royal family, she mentioned that the family is not that clean as it comes out. It will also show the facts behind ‘The Interview’ that caused a lot of controversies worldwide. In an interview with Daily Telegraph editor, Max Hastings reveals that Diana dropped various bombs about the members of the royal family: her ex-husband Charles, and her kids. Hastings didn’t publish the statements as he found it too dangerous that could cause him troubles.

Hastings said that she was very direct with her words and how the marriage was a mess. She wanted Charles to step down and focus on making her son William the King. People even questioned Hastings that why didn’t he publish her whole interview. However, he said that the Royals are highly respected. So, defaming them could cause him a lot of damage. Also, he felt it was his duty to keep the lid shut. Diana was a huge influence on society and the power she held was not ordinary. She was a complex and fearless woman and the documentary wants to put forward her honest self to the world.

Just watched Diana The Truth Behind The Interview. The BBC and Martin Bashir stink like rotten fish. I also watched the Michael Jackson Interview years ago. Same man, same stink. #ShameOnYouAll

Everything you need to know about the death of Princess Diana:
Diana, the Princess of Wales was an immensely popular and international icon. She married Prince Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II in 1981. As a result, she became a part of the royal family. They separated in 1992 as Charles had extramarital affairs. This caused a lot of disturbance in their marriage. Diana died on 31st August 1997 during a car crash in Paris. Her death caused a lot of controversies and numerous conspiracy theories started floating.

Many said that Henri Paul, who was driving the car was intentionally toxicated. This in turn had led to the accident. However, some also stated that someone had pre-planned the crash and it was a murder. However, the court disagreed with it. Diana was also under surveillance by the national security agency. In fact, they had a top-secret file that they haven’t revealed yet. We can’t comment on this but we will surely be getting many answers through the documentary. It is expected to release by March 2022.
