What is the movie series “Father of the Bride” about?
Starring Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams, and Martin Short, the plot revolves around George Banks narrating the story of his daughter’s wedding. The movie shows the father-daughter relationship and how the father always wants the best for his child and not wanting to let her go. Annie gets engaged to Bryan only after dating for 3 months. During a reunion, the father-daughter duo breaks out into an agreement with George not wanting to accept Brian as his son-in-law. In 2018, The Walt Disney Company announced the remake of the movie but the project was discontinued. Now, in 2020 Warner Bros. has taken over the film and Matt Lopez is the screenwriter for the movie. They have already started working on the project so we can expect the movie to release by 2022. Nancy Meyers had also given hints about the reunion through her Instagram last month. After 3 decades, the cast meeting over a zoom call was surely nostalgic. The reunion was a charity event put together. The cult hit will be back with the most wonderful cast soon.
