Created by Joe Quesada, ‘Marvel’s Storyboards’ is a documentary web series. It is streamed on Marvel’s official Youtube channel. Directed by Tony Castle and written by Eric Enright, the first season premiered on 23rd July 2020. After interviewing Charlie Cox during the 2017 Comic-Con in Sab Diego, Quesada got the idea after which he went on to pitch the idea to Disney+. They liked it and gave the series a green light to proceed. Quesada is a well-known comic book artist who has worked with Marvel and DC Comics in the past. He then formed his own company called Event Comics and created the character of Ash, a superhero firefighter who gained popularity.
When is season 2 of the series releasing?
The premise of the series follows Quesada interviewing various other artists, their childhood and background, understanding their creative vision, and how they come up with different storylines and characters. Season 1 consisted of 6 episodes. It starred guests such as Hugh Jackman, Christian Borle, Johnny Weir, Robert Lopez, Margaret Stohl, and Natalia Buckley. The production had originally planned to stream the series on Disney+. However, later on, they used Youtube as the streaming medium.
The audience received the series very well which led to the production announcing a new season. On 16th November 2020, the first episode of the second season was released on their youtube channel with Gillian Jacobs as the guest explaining directing and the difficulties of it. The new season will also have 6 episodes as before. The lineup guests are Gillian Jacobs, Shasheer Zamata, Samhita Mukhopadhyay, Nelson Figueroa, Jaime Luis Gomez, and Ed Viesturs. The date schedule of the episodes is 16th November 2020, 20th November 2020, 24th November 2020, 1st December 2020, 8th December 2020, and 15th December 2020.

Quesada said in an interview “Looking at the show and the reception we saw for season one, we were humbled by how our guest’ stories were resonating and inspiring fans. We are all so grateful to these incredible talents for sharing their journeys with all of us”. Marvel Entertainment is known worldwide for creating the fictional Marvel Cinematic Universe inspired by Marvel Comics. They started by creating characters but at that time, Disney characters were popular worldwide. Consequently, it was difficult for them to compete with Disney. Later on, they created their production house and released movies. Now, their superhero characters are immensely popular and well known. They gave us characters such as Spiderman, Ghostrider, and the whole group of Avengers. For every movie, many people have put in a lot of work. The Storyboards series explores this through each episode. Marvel fans will surely be watching to know more about their favorite characters and movies.
