Darkseid is indeed going to make his onscreen debut in The Justice League Synder Cut. Yes, #ReleaseTheSynderCut hashtag is finally being rewarded and we’ll see the superheroes once again on HBO Max. Read on to know the latest news on this eagerly awaited director’s cut to the 2017 film The Justice League.
Synder Cut is a more a popular name for Zack Synder’s Justice League. It conveys the story of Justice League as director Zack Synder had originally meant. In Synder cut, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash come together to save the world from the demon army of Steppenwolf. Zack had taken a break from production back in 2017, following the demise of his daughter. It happened to be during the production of Justice League and Whedon had to take over from where Zack left the story.
Ever since hearing the news, fans have wanted to know the story as director Zack would have made it. Hashtags were introduced and campaigns were held on Twitter by Marvel fans to show much they wanted Synder Cut. And now, we finally have it!
Justice League Synder Cut: Plot
The crew has remained tight lipped when it comes to giving hints about the story. But what we know is that the story has to do with protecting the world from Steppenwolf. After the death of Superman in the 2016 film, Batman vs Superman, Batman along with Wonder Woman invite the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg to form the Justice League. This might sound similar to the plot of Justice League, but it is not. Synder Cut does not include any scenes by anyone other than director Zack.
Though the story’s framework remains unchanged, the Synder Cut presents a whole new plot that includes numerous new characters, scenes and side stories. In addition to this, Ray Porter has recently admitted that he would be back in the role of Darkseid. In short, we can expect a masterpiece.
Ben Affleck will play the role of Bruce Wayne (Batman) while Henry Cavil plays Clark Kent (Superman). Amber Heard will play Mera and Gal Gadot will be back in the role of Diana Prince (Wonder Woman). Ezra Miller and Jason Mamoa will play the roles of Barry Allen (The Flash) and Arthur Curry (Aquaman) respectively.
We also know that the iconic villain of the comic book version, Darkseid, is going to be played by Ray Porter. Darkseid, a tyrannical God, is the master of Steppenwolf, who will be played by Ciaran Hinds. In addition to this, Peter Guinness will play DeSaad while Kiersay Clemons plays Iris West.
Justice League Snyder Cut: Release Date
The exact date of release of not known yet, but Zack Synder’s Justice League will come out somewhere around the middle of 2021.
From what we know, the show will premiere on HBO Max as four different episodes each of one hour duration, after which a four hour whole version will be released.

Adding to the good news is the fact that DC and Warner Bros have confirmed to help with distribution of the cut to viewers outside of the United States. As we know, HBO Max is limited the U.S. but that will be taken care of.
