What is the movie about?
The plot revolves around a group of survivors who are trying to find their way out after humanity nuked an asteroid that was going to hit earth. This wrecked up the entire human race. The radiation starts to spill all over and starts turning animals into monsters due to mutation. Joel Dawson is the lead who sets off to find his girlfriend Aimee. After 7 years, things are taking a step forward and colonies begin to form.
The monsters still exist and try to breach and attack humans. Joel sets off to find his girlfriend and goes through a hell of an adventure. He meets new people along the way who join him and every step they have to fight a monster. He finds Aimee but she had already moved on from him. Then, a fight begins among humans to take on each other’s colonies. The movie will give you a similar experience to ‘X-Men’ or ‘Percy Jackson’ along the way.
Everything you need to know about ‘Love and Monsters’:
Starring Dylan O’Brien, Michael Rooker, Ariana Greenblatt, Jessica Henwick, Dan Ewing, Donnie Baxter, Ellen Hollman, and Senie Priti, the movie has earned around $255,000 in its opening weekend. Directed by Michael Matthews, the movie released on 16th October, 2020 and you can stream it on Apple TV. The film was scheduled to release in February 2021. However, due to the pandemic and high demand, they ended up releasing prior to the date. Initially, it was titled as ‘Monsters Problems’ but the production said that the title seemed mediocre and did not grab any kind of attention. Dylan came up on news where he shared updates regarding his new movie and how difficult it was for him to overcome the trauma after ‘The Maze Runner.
The 29-year old who gained prominence after his role in Sci-Fi trilogy ‘The Maze Runner’ had a lot to say. During the final part, he had an accident while filming a stunt and had to undergo surgery. Not only physically, he had to go through a lot of mental stress and everything around him seemed messed up. He was not ready to do such a movie as the recovery took him a long time. During the incident, he was only 24 and after 5 years he came back on screen working on the thriller genre again. No other OTT platform has got the rights for the movie. After understanding its gross earning, we are expecting it to be available on Netflix soon.
