It is believed that due to technical reasons Blizzard has to expand its window. And, so, the delay of Diablo III happened accordingly.

However, another update from Blizzard on the very same day mentioned that PTR is up for an update and will stay until October 27th. Also, according to their latest blog, this patch will include, bug fixes, and dev comments, season theme adjustments, item nerfs/buffs/updates and etc. There are no further details, on what these patches are actually.

Diablo III Season 22: What It Will Be About?
The season patch notes describe it in a very mysterious way. It reads that the shadows are moving, and it seems that they are animated. The patch makes us feel like if we are reading a synopsis of a James Wan movie, only it’s animated.
It further reads and says that the shadow has a will of their own. Also, whatever this mystery is, the players can use it for their own advantage. In the end, it wants us to wait for what the demon will say when the players will fight against their own shadows.
