Recently, the 18-year old Grammy Award winner has been hitting the headlines. A photograph of the singer wearing tighter clothes was released. It received a lot of negative responses. This was unlike the Billie we know. She is known for being carefree and wearing baggy clothes. One of the comments said that Billie Eilish is developing a body type of the 30-year old calling her fat and unappealing. Many started backlashing her for her weight and started giving out criticism about her body. She came out with the video titled ‘Not My Responsibility’ recently in May 2020. It is a short film talking about body shaming and how judgmental society is. She also stated that everyone around her starts making assumptions looking at the body type of a person. Without even knowing you they decide your worth. She wanted to say that others’ opinions should not affect you as a person. No one else can decide your value. Many celebrities such as Kat Dennings and The Blessed Madonna came forward to support her. Many said that Billie Eilish is only 18 right now. If she faces such judgmental opinions now, it will only lead to many insecurities in the future.

It's really sad that that the response to Billie Eilish wearing clothing that isn't as baggy and a bit more revealing was exactly what she didn't want it to be, body shaming.
