Grimes is a sheriff who wakes up from a coma while the outer world is suffering from a zombie apocalypse. The apocalypse is caused by an unknown infectious agent. His character was loved by many positively. And the fans were heartbroken when Lincoln announced his exit.

Recently the cast of TWD reunited for a fundraiser event where Lincoln was present as well. The actor there joked about the decision he made 2 years ago.

Lincoln’s Exit From TWD

The virtual fundraiser event took place on December 20th. There the cast of The Walking Dead appeared for a great cause.

He began by telling how he didn’t know what the South (Georgia) was. “I’d never been to the South. And then I went to Georgia, and I fell in love with this extraordinary city, Atlanta.” Lincoln also said that living and working in the South was extraordinary.

He also mentioned that there is a sort of English attitude about the South. And that the people there are patronizing at the dinner parties. Lincoln said that he remembers that it was the most advanced, civilized, and extraordinary progressive place he has ever been to.

He further joked that his ten-year-old son, Arthur won’t let him take any job unless it is in Georgia. Lincoln says Arthur wants to go back to Georgia. Lincoln also said that he came back home for the kids and, now they are sick of him.  “I wish I’d never left. It’s bullshit! It was a terrible decision! [laughs],” he said in the end.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Norman Reedus,  Danai Gurira, and Lennie James were also present at the reunion.

Andrew Lincoln’s Other Credits

Besides his work in The Walking Dead, Lincoln’s credit list contains some other titles too. The actor has also worked as a producer and director of many other shows and films.
